Hi, I'm Irina Ari! I'm an aspiring artist in the field of concept art and illustration for the video game industry. Ultimately, I would love to be an art director and independent game developer.
I received my BFA in Visual Arts from Mason Gross School of Arts (Rutgers University) earlier in 2014. There I focused for my first three years on traditional painting and drawing, but as classes became available I took an interest in film, production and direction, costume design, animation and 3D. So far I've produced and received awards for one short film and a co-produced animation short.
I can admit, I may not currently have as much experience with concept art and illustration as others who went to schools with a focus in it, but I value the unique experience I already have, and am rigorously practicing and building a whole new portfolio.
My video game soul mates are Fumito Ueda's "Ico" and "Shadow of the Colossus," and if I had to pick one artist who inspires and motivates me to do more, it's Noah Bradley.
